Top 5 Montana Craft Beers For Fall 2020
Updated: Sep 17
The start of Autumn 2020 is quickly creeping up on us here in Montana and beer lovers are starting to crave their favorite fall seasonal beers. There is something about the cold crisp air settling in and the leaves starting to change colors that gets one in the mood for those darker styles of beer and the endless pumpkin and spice flavors!
1. Oktoberfest Lager - Bayern Brewing
If you're looking for a beer that is not too sweet yet malty with a nice hop flavor, Oktoberfest is the way to go! This beer is Bayern’s fastest selling seasonal specialty beer. It is brewed according to the standards of the Brewers’ Guild of Munich, which was established in 1815 when they brewed this beer for the first time to celebrate the royal wedding of King Ludwig I and Princess Maria Theresia.
2. Pumpkin Dunkel Gus - Smelter City Brewing
If you want a beer that will help you jump into the fall spirit, this spiced Dunkelweizen beer is perfect! This delicious dark wheat beer is brewed with pumpkins, brown sugar and spice.
3. Coldsmoke Scotch Ale - KettleHouse Brewing Co.
This beer is Kettlehouses biggest award winning beer. Cold Smoke is a dark smooth ale with a slightly sweet coffee finish. This is a year-round beer, but it is especially enjoyed during those cozy fall nights sipping Coldsmoke by a crackling fire.
4. Dublin Gulch Porter - Butte Brewing Company
Are you in search of a beer that is big on chocolate roasted malt and has a solid body to it? This brew is great for when a light beer just isn’t enough. Grab a growler of this delicious chocolatey beer for a relaxing football sunday with the family.
5. Buzzed Hippy Kolsch - Map Brewing Company
Who wouldn't want to sip on a clean crisp beer while you watch the leaves fall? Map Brewing took their classic German-style Kolsch and infused it with some coffee from Treeline Coffee Roasters located there in Bozeman, Montana. They say this beer will fool you with it's light golden color and it's prominent coffee aroma and flavor. If this Bozeman favorite is on tap, you better try it because it won't stick around long!
